Instalarm has created and presented a new design that includes an 18" LCD display as a front end that can be put on the panel front without any cutting. The rear end unit is a tiny, low-profile logic cabinet that may be placed anywhere within the panel. Up to 128 annunciator windows can be shown on a single monitor. The monitor will show windows with Test, Accept, and Reset buttons. It's up to you whether you want to use the Accept or Silence Push Buttons. The logic cabinet has a programmable logic module, an SMPS power supply module, an alarm relay, supply terminals, signal I/P, and an RS-232/RS-485 communication port, among other things. For soft signal I/P, the MODBUS protocol with communication port instead of signal terminals (for standard pot-free connections) is also available.
Remote alphanumeric status information and system control are provided by LCD Annunciators. The Annunciator may even show data in two languages, which can be switched between "on the fly" to accommodate various operators. Discrete LED annunciation against identified functions or for bespoke graphic annunciator floor layouts is provided by LED Annunciators, which are available in a number of configurations.
